One down... two to go!!!

Today we went for our 14 week check-up.. I am offically in the second trimester! My blood pressure was 108/60, and Baby Allison's heart beat was nice and strong. I didn't gain any weight this time but the doc said that was okay since most of the weight gain comes during the second and third trimesters. She did say that my uterus was large, most likely because this is my second baby and the muscles had been stretched before... Yikes! Our next appointment will be Oct. 13th, when we will have an ultrasound and hopefully can find out if the baby is a boy or girl :) Cast your votes now!

Linville Falls

Sunday after church we went hiking with Chris, Jan, Kristin, Bryce and Braedon. We didn't want to go too far away so we decided to do the moderate hikes at Linville falls. None of us were feeling up to the 'strenuous' hikes! Besides keeping the boys from falling into the Gorge and seeing a heron it was pretty uneventful :) I just love fall... it is definitely my favorite season! We had a beautiful day...the air is starting to feel crisp and cool and the leaves are just beginning to change. What a gorgeous area we live in!

Carter Bug

My sweet nephew is such a good baby. He loved being outside watching his big cousin, Isaac play football. Take a peek at these adorable shots!

Quotes from Izzer

Mom, "If you make 100 on your latin stem test, spelling test, and multiplication test, we will get you a reward." "What do you want?"

Isaac, "A new book!"

Dad (eyes roll because he is so much like his mom!)

(After End of Grade testing at his school)

Isaac, "Why do all the kids have to go to re-de-de-ation (remediation)."

Mom, "What is it called?"

Isaac, "Re-de-de-ation."

Mom, "One more time."

Isaac, "What! Is that not how you say it?"

Mom, "Because all kids can use re-de-de-ation!"

Bryce and Braedon, "It would hurt so bad to get hit by a paintball."

Isaac, "Yes, it would leave a 'welch' (welt)."

(Isaac and Dad having a stinky sock war fight.)

Isaac, "Is that sock lint or dan-drift (dandruff)."
