2 months old

Weight: 13 lbs 10 oz
Length: 24 3/4 inches

I can hold my head up really well! I love for you to talk and smile at me and I grin super big. I laugh when Isaac plays with me or Mommy kisses me. I like to eat and have a nice milk belly. I'm still solely nursing with one bottle of breast milk when Mommy works on Tuesdays. She usually comes and feeds me on her breaks. I like that and she does too.

I'm a sensitive soul and cry if Mommy yells for my siblings. She tries not to yell often but I think two of my older siblings know how to push her buttons.

I'm not a fan of riding in my car seat... However when they put on the Spa channel on XM radio I stop crying and it puts me to sleep. For some reason that's all we listen to now.

Happy 2 Months Judah Bear!

Isaac and football

Isaac finished football on Friday...thank God! I was totally done with practices everyday and freezing games on Thursdays. He started on defense and played a lot of offense this season. I'm not sure what position he played but he was on the line :) I learn a little more about football each year but I still don't understand half of what goes on. Plus I'm usually looking over my shoulder every 2 minutes to make sure E or O hasn't fallen off the steps of the stadium. All I care about is that he doesn't get hurt. It's been good exercise and he is in great shape. We were very proud of our big guy this year because he has also managed to take 3 honors classes. Last year he ended the year with a 4.25 GPA so hopefully he can keep up the good work.

Halloween 2015

Eli really wanted to be Steve from Mine Craft. That's his new thing... He watches You tube videos and teaches himself how to build various buildings in MineCraft on the iPad. His latest was a roller coaster he constructed leading to the trap door in his cave. He also has a pet dog, Barnaby and a pet pig named Terrence. Anyway I didn't have time, energy, or the creative juju to construct a Steve costume so he settled on the blue Power Ranger costume from Walmart.

Olivia didn't get a Halloween costume this year because she has so many dress-up outfits it's ridiculous. She comes running through the house in a new princess costume every 5 minutes. Seriously this girl could make the Broadway actors jealous with how fast she can change! One of her favorites is a see through pink skirt, pink feather boa and no shirt... I try to limit this one as I would like to keep her off the pole when she grows up!

Judah has a ungodly amount of hand me sons from Eli and my two nephews so he was a Pea in the Pod.

Isaac didn't dress up but he did raid the candy!

Here is my modge podge of children. I swear one year I'm going to coordinate them into a cute costume theme for Halloween.

Baby J is 1 month

Weigh: 10 lbs 11 oz
Height: 22 3/4 inches

What can you do now that you are a month old? You can hold your head up really well, smile at us when we talk to you. You like to make sounds coo, goo and ahh. Nursing has gotten easier and you are still exclusively breastfeeding every 21/2 to 3 hours. I bought a Rock and Play to help keep you elevated after feeds the other night while I was perusing  Amazon in the wee hours of the morning. It has worked ok...you occasionally give me one good 3 hour stretch out of my arms. I've also done a LOT of online shopping during while I'm awake at night... Eeekkk!

Isaac will hold you when we ask him too. Don't take it personally... He is a 15 year old boy. He's super sweet to you though and you did fall asleep in his arms the other day while we were getting ready.

Eli likes to hold you while we do his reading each night. He will lean over and kiss your fuzzy head. He told me that he loves you and the day you came home was the best day ever. He also said that you are a little bit of a whiner... No worries because sometimes he's worse!

Olivia.... Where do we even begin. She is crazy about you! We sit on my bed and ogle over you daily. She says you are soft and squishy! We call you our Buttercup, Darlin', and Cubby Bear. She helps change your diaper and hands me wipes, butt paste and a diaper every time. She loves to kiss you and squeeze you and is twitterpated over all your tiny features!

We love you Baby J!

Baby Judah's first weeks

Those first couple weeks at home with a new baby are ROUGH. I always forget how bad it is. Sore nipples, no sleep, constant feeding. Plus, Judah doesn't like to sleep unless he is being held. However we made it!  At his 1 week check-up he weighed 8 lbs and by his second week he had surpassed his birth weight.

Heading home from the hospital

Nana brought the Littles home and had snuggles with Baby J

Milk drunk. This was Isaac's baby gown when he was a newborn. All my babies have worn it!

Checking out his room and crib. He is sleeping downstairs with us until he is bigger and will sleep through the night.

Judah Seth Allison has arrived!

I was scheduled to be induced Tuesday morning, September 15th at 40 weeks 2 days. Even though I wanted my body to go into labor on it's own... I also wanted my Dr to deliver and I was ready to get this baby OUT.  Dr. Goodwin is awesome and she delivered both Eli and Olivia. Josh and I dropped the kids off at my moms the night before and headed home to get ready. I did sleep a few hours... pregnancy insomnia hit as usual (probably mixed with anxiety about the next morning) at 3am and I couldn't go back to sleep afterwards. We left for the hospital a bit after 6am.

Our room was ready and my nurses were ready and waiting on us when we arrived. I changed into my gown and Josh and I took a few pictures. After listening to the baby for a while my nurse started the dreaded pitocin. I was super happy that my IV placement was uneventful and my veins didn't blow (they blew 3 times at Eli's induction so I am always a little nervous). Initially I was 3cm and 50% effaced, however the pitocin and contractions began to do their work and around three hours later I was 5 cm and 70% effaced. My dr came in, broke my water and things started to get real.

I got my epidural placed and it was sweet relief. My right side didn't take as great but it definitely helped a lot! My mom arrived right after my epidural was placed. Not long after 3 pm my Dr checked me again and I was 8 cm , 90% effaced and baby was at station 0. The nurses emptied my bladder adjusted my epidural meds and left. Literally as soon as they walked out the door, I felt like it was time to push. Mom and Josh went to tell my nurses and Dr I was feeling pressure and sure enough I was at 10 and he was ready! My Dr let Josh put on gloves to help catch the baby and Mom was there helping hold my leg. I pushed through 8 contractions and our sweet boy arrived! He came out crying at 3:59 pm and peed and pooed after they laid him on my chest. Josh said he was slippery as he helped catch him and he cut the cord as well.  I had skin to skin time with the baby while my placenta was delivered, 1st degree tear mended and for about an hour afterwards. Mom left to go share the news and give us time together. Josh had been determined to see the baby before naming him. We had narrowed the choices to around 3 names during labor! I originally wanted Amos but Josh threw a big negative on that one. Isaac wanted Ulysees or Uriah (I vetoed those). In the end we were thinking Owen, Asher, Judah, or Seth (as a first name instead of middle). We agreed he looked like a Judah and so Judah Seth Allison was named. His name means 'Praise' and we do praise God for this sweet blessing. I'm sure we will call him both Judah and Jude for short. Plus he has the same initials as his Daddy.. JSA.

Josh went to the waiting room and brought the kids to come meet their new brother. They were all 3 in awe I do believe. Olivia was saying how cute he was, Eli kept commenting on his feet, and Isaac had a big grin on his face. Olivia had to hold him right away and was totally smitten with Baby Brubber. The nurse then weighed him in the room and did his vitamin K shot and eye drops.  We were all wrong on our guesses.. Judah was 8 lbs 7 oz ( I guessed 8 lbs even) 21 inches long and his head was 14 1/2 inches around. After time with the siblings, Josh brought the rest of the family in to meet our new son! We are so happy and thankful he is here safely!

38 weeks

Woohoo the end is near! I feel like my belly is bigger this time than in my previous pregnancies. I've been feeling pretty good except for sciatic back pain and sleepless nights. There has been no time to slow down so I haven't! I've been going to weekly yoga at the Y and kept it up through last week. The next couple weeks I have dr apts on Thursdays so it conflicts with the time. I have had to modify a bit in the last couple weeks in yoga. I can't hold plank or do downward dog splits like I could before so I just drop to table top and do what I can. I definitely think it's helped my back pain. We still have no names for this baby and Josh is driving me crazy by refusing to even have a discussion about it. Can you take the baby home from the hospital without a name?

I was going through a baby name website and texting Josh suggestions. He didn't reply until I sent the last one!

Ready to start School

This year all 3 of my babies are heading off to school. Isaac is beginning his 10th grade year in High School, Eli is starting Kindergarten, and Olivia will be going to pre-school 2 days per week!

Isaac's schedule is jam packed right now. He finished up his 9th grade year with a GPA of 4.25 so hopefully he can keep up the good work this year. We ended up re-arranging his schedule a bit because he's got football everyday after school and doesn't get home until 6:30. Thursday's are game days so it's super late on those nights. This semester he has Honors Chemistry, Weight training, Honors World History, and Honors Personal Finance. So far he says his teachers are great and he has a lot of his friends in his class.

Eli got in the K-2 class at his Elementary school and I really think it's going to be great! He will keep the same teacher for the next 3 years. Whereas Isaac was the perfect student, (every single parent conference since kindergarten we heard the same thing- I wish we had a whole classroom of Isaac) Eli is a different but equally as wonderful child! He is super smart but energetic and constantly pushes the bounds. He asks complex questions that I don't always know the answer for. I think this K-2 class will really push him and keep him from being bored.

Olivia had her first day of pre-school on Thursday and loved it. She's never been in daycare or pre-school and is only away from me (with her grandparents) on Tuesdays when I work so I was a bit worried on how she would do. She has been begging to go to school for a year or more now. The first day she walked right in, got in line to wash her hands, sat on the carpet as asked and said "Bye Mom, are you going to work?"  Hopefully she's going to have a great year.

It felt so strange not having any of my babies home on Thursday. I definitely was not looking forward to school starting this week. I'm going to enjoy my two days solo (maybe take a nap) because we've got 2 more weeks before Baby Brother will be here!

Maternity pictures

I decided to have maternity pictures made since I've never done that before and since this is our last baby. I had them made around 33 weeks before I turned into a giant whale :) My friend Sarah took them and I was so pleased. The Littles have been so enthralled with my belly and Baby Brother and I'm so glad we were able to document the sweetness of this time. They love to talk to him, hug my belly, and give him kisses. Olivia will bring toys and stuff them under my shirt. I hope they are as happy as they are now when he is born! Baby No Name Allison you sure are loved.

Isaac turns 15

Isaac hit 15 this year and we had a family dinner at the Japanese Steak house with both mine and Josh's families. Monday after his birthday we went to the DMV and he got his permit. EEEkkk!  Right now we are only letting him drive when the Littles are NOT in the car. He is doing really well. Let's hope he's a better driver than his mama!

Holden beach 2015

The kids loved the beach this year. We went down to Holden (a quaint family beach) with Josh's brothers and their families. Isaac and his 3 cousins had a blast kayaking, playing in the ocean, getting daily slushies from Sunset Slush, and hanging out.  Eli loved the ocean. He wanted to jump waves the entire time. I lost track of how many times I motioned or yelled at him to come in closer to shore. Olivia is my little sand and water bug. She was content to play in the sand and jump waves with her older cousins (both are in college and were a huge help).  I told Josh this will be the easiest beach trip for a while with the new baby coming.... the kids are all at such good ages to play at the beach. Plus it was nice not having to pack much but snacks and sand toys.
We had huge tidal pools every day because of the sand bar... which was nice to keep sharks at bay!

32 week baby bump. I bought this maternity bathing suit because I was afraid my bikini would fall off :)
