38 weeks

I went to the dr Thursday and I am still 2 cm 50% effaced! Blah.. I was hoping that I had progressed more with all these braxton hicks contractions I've been having. They will come so regular (like 4 min apart) but then taper off if I lay down to go to sleep. We talked about moving my induction date back (like to the 17th!) if my cervix hasn't progressed any more by next Friday. Then I would be 40 weeks 5 days and I really don't want to be pregnant that long. I am getting quite excited about meeting this little baby girl. I almost have everything ready. I took apart the car seats, washed them and put them back together without Josh's help this week and I have got all her clothes washed. I bought Eli a cute little backpack from PB Kids with his name on it and I decided to give the baby his diaper bag. His backpack is big enough for a couple diapers and change of clothes.  I really wanted this Ju Ju Be diaper bag I found online called the BFF but I decided I really didn't need it since I have plenty of bags. I may still break down and order it but I am trying to be sensible. Next Thursday is my last day of work and it can't come soon enough. I have 4 IEP meetings next week and I will have all my paperwork complete. The EC director still hasn't found someone to cover my leave; I sure hope she finds someone soon. That is a good thing about being a SLP... you can always find a job. I don't think I've ever even interviewed for a job... they are always like "when can you start?" Hopefully things will work out when I am ready to come back to work.

Isaac and BOB

Isaac had his 3rd year Battle of the Books competition yesterday. I didn't get to go because I was at work but my mom went and cheered him on. He was the only boy this year on the team. Love my little book worm!

Disney

Isaac's class took a field trip to Disney last week. They left Monday night and rode a charter bus through the night and arrived at the park Tuesday morning. They did three parks in 3 days and then drove through the night Thursday and arrived back 6:00am Friday morning. After they got home Isaac went to bed and I woke him up at 4 PM Friday afternoon. Needless to say they were exhausted! They both said it was fun and I'm thankful that Josh was able to go. Eli and I made it fine. Mom stayed with us the first night. Then, my BFF since pre-k , Kellie stayed with me and brought pizza for dinner on Wednesday. We talked, watched tv and caught up on the latest news!! Josh's mom and dad came to get Eli and brought him home on the days I worked do that was very helpful. I was glad to get my "boys" back though. This is the only pic I have... Men don't do well taking pics!

Baby update

I went for my weekly appointment yesterday at 36 weeks 3 days and I am 2 cm and 50% effaced already! That could mean nothing but my dr did ask if I wanted to be induced since my body is progressing. We set the induction for May 8th and I will be 39 weeks 4 days. I've got group B strep again so I will have antibiotics before delivery. I have to have vanctamycin (spelling??) and IV benedryl with it because I'm allergic. However, I'm very thankful our little no name baby is growing and doing well. My last day of work will be May 3rd! I counted and I have 7 days of work left.., woohoo!!! I started washing baby clothes yesterday! Love one of my besties Amber who sent me TONS of baby girl clothes from her two precious girls! She is the best... We roomed together at ASU and we've worked together the past 4 yrs here at our elementary school. I'm going to have Amber withdrawals not getting to have our chats about everything from husbands, kids, God, work, to everything in between!

Going on a bear hunt

We are on spring break this week....wooohooo! Audra brought the boys over to play this morning. Eli's new thing is, "I want to go for a walking". Then he preceded to lead Carter and my 8+ month belly on a walk through the woods. Don't know how far we went but it was quite a hike through the woods. We have forty acres of woods up here so I pray he never takes off on his own because there is no telling how far he would go. He is so unafraid. Carter was like, Aunt Sissy, make Eli come back" because he would be so far ahead of us.

What we will do to get cable

Pay an ungodly amount for cable wire, rent a ditch witch and excavator. Bury said cable 1800 feet up our drive!

Easter 2012

The boys opened their Easter baskets and then we headed to church. All the Allison's came over here for lunch.. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. Then we went to Moms around five and had another cookout and an Easter egg hunt! Horrible pic but that's my 35 week shot :) Fun filled day!

Baby Girl update and Nursery pics

I've almost got the baby's room finished! I still need to hang a few things and accessorize a bit more but it's coming along. Now to buy some Dreft and start washing baby clothes :) Still no name for this little one. My last Ob visit was Tuesday and it went well. I've gained 32 lbs!!! She said "now how much did you gain with the boys?" and I replied "35lbs". I'm going to try drinking more water and watching my sodium. My dr did say she would induce me on May 8th if I was favorable. I can't decide... I really want MY dr to deliver but I also want to go into labor on my own. I will decide closer to d day. Next week I will have my first "exam" and gbs test.

Helping Daddy

Josh has been sowing grass, laying a sidewalk and many other tasks lately. Isaac has been such a big, big help! He has worked so hard. Eli wants to be outside all the time as well but of course is not as helpful. Here is a pic from today. Isaac was shoveling sand and burying his feet while Eli was playing with his sand toys in the back of the truck.
